[Classroom] How to interpret lesson alert icons to support students

The Alerts column on the Lesson Monitoring page will display the following icons:

Seeking Help

When a pupil has given three incorrect answers for the same question the Seek Help icon will show in line with the name of the pupil.

The number next to the icon indicates how many questions they are seeking help with.

Students are still able to answer the questions that are marked as Seek Help.

Failed Bookwork Check

When a pupil has given an incorrect answer for a bookwork check the Failed Bookwork Check icon will appear in line with the name of the pupil.

The number next to the icon indicates how many checks have been failed. Hover the cursor over the icon for details of the failed bookwork checks.

    The Lesson Monitoring page displays progress for pupils in each section of the lesson in different tabs in the following order:

    • Starter
    • Objective 1
    • Objective 2 (if it is a two-objective lesson)
    • Plenary

    It is possible to view the progress for each stage of the lesson by selecting the Display Progress For dropdown on the top right of the Lesson Monitoring page.

    If a student is working on a section of the lesson ordered earlier than that set by the teacher on the Lesson Monitoring page, this icon will appear in the column to the left of the Introduce progress bar:

    If a student is working on a section of the lesson ordered later than that set by the teacher on the Lesson Monitoring page, this icon will appear in the column to the right of the Deepen progress bar:
