Sparx training is an interactive set of modules
- All staff will be presented with their own set of training modules when they log in.
- They are a mix of short videos and interactive tasks designed to teach you how to use Sparx
- Everyone needs to complete their module before setting homework for students
Training takes around 30-45 minutes
The modules do not need to be completed in one session so can be done whenever is convenient. It can be useful, however, to gather all your staff together to discuss what you've learned and address any queries. If you do not do the training together, we strongly suggest you set the department your own deadline by which they should complete the training.
The training modules are always available
When a new staff member is added to your Sparx site they will automatically be prompted to complete their training modules and, if you ever want to revisit any modules, they are available under Support Centre in the top right of your site.
Check who has completed their training
You can see how many modules each teacher has completed on Staff Manager and on the Getting Started Steps. Find out more in our article Monitoring teachers' Sparx training
Remember: to get the most out of Sparx for both you and your students, complete your training before setting any homework
