        During an absence

        Homework set during an extended absence should be managed according to the needs of the individual student. For example, it may be appropriate to:

        Returning after an absence

        If a student has not opened a homework for 5 weeks or more we will automatically make some slight adjustments to how many questions they get to ease them back in gradually:

        • If a student has not opened homework for 5 weeks then we will give them 10% fewer questions than usual
        • If a student has not opened a homework for 6 weeks or more then we will give them 20% fewer questions than usual

        If a student has been off for less time than this or has a particular need, then you may choose to set them to Optional only or 30 minute homework for a while when they return, before moving them back to Full-Length homework.
