Supporting disengaged students

If a student becomes disengaged with Sparx then we recommend trying some or all of the following:

• Take the focus away from completing outstanding homework by changing previous homework to optional only so the student can just work on the most recent questions.
• Ensure all staff members and carers who work with the student understand what Sparx is and how it works so that they can support and encourage the student to get back on track
• Set the student to 30 minute homework or Optional only homework so they have less work to complete each week
