Using the unique content from Sparx Maths, we've designed a formative baseline package, to help you understand what your Year 7 students know and don't know about key topics from Key Stage 2.
Included in the package:
- The baseline assessment.
- A shadow assessment that can be used to track progress.
- A mark scheme.
- A QLA that can be used to receive student, class and cohort gap analysis on individual questions and topic areas. Each question is linked to a Sparx Maths topic code.
- 12 Weekly fluency quizzes to support retrieval and to close critical gaps. Answers are provided and each question is linked to a Sparx Maths topic code.

Important Information for September 2024
To be included in the National Report and to use the in-product QLA and fix-up functionality, the 2024 version of the assessment should be used.
Please do not use the 2023 version of the assessment.
The data entry deadline to be included in the National Report is 30th September 2024. You can enter data after this date but it will not be included in the national comparison.
