Getting started steps page

The 'Getting started steps' will show on your Dashboard when you first start using Sparx

They will also always be accessible from the Support Centre tab at the top right of your screen.

The steps are a list of things you need to do to get your site ready for your first homework. All of the information you need to complete these steps can be found in your Sparx site but here is a quick overview of each step:

School setup

Connection to your MIS/SIS

• See what you need to do to get your MIS connected to your site
• Ask your Network Manager to complete this step

Single Sign-On (login with Google or Microsoft)

• Make logging in easier for students and teachers by setting up Single Sign-On
• Ask your Network Manager to complete this step

Classes and students

• Once your MIS is connected, import your classes
• Any staff member can do this step

Holidays

• Make sure your term dates have been added

Schemes of Learning

• See which Schemes of Learning have been created and published

Teacher accounts

• See which teachers have been added to your Sparx site

Teacher training

• Quickly see which teachers have finished their training and who may need prompting to complete it.

Class setup

• Easily see which classes are ready for homework to be set
• Identify what tasks still need to be done for those classes who are not yet ready
